Hi I´m doing a hemi swap, using a Hemi 5.7 from chrysler 300 -2006.
I had the original pcm send away to have the skim removed. The enginge starts and runs ok in Idle.
But when I press down the accelerator pedal andtry to rew the engine above 1500 rpm it starts to pumping and it seams like the fuel is cutting. I have fuel pressure at 58psi/4bar. I have done a tps relearn and checked that the throttle is following the gaspedal fine. Could the pcm have gone into limp mode? or any other ideas?
I also bought a second pcm that I'm trying to delete the skim using Hptuners. I followed the instruction from
Diyhemi youtube video. The enginge starts for one second and dies everytime. I put the skim in disabe and skim capable disabe/enable several times. I am using thestarter relay but if I put the relay i disable the enginge still starts for a second and dies. I´m using hptuners MPVI2 with a usb cabel. What can be the problem? The cable that tells the pcm that I´m using the starter relay is that C1-30 (black connector)?
Posting a video when the enginge runs with the original pcm
Best regards
Jimmy
On the original ECM, the tune needs to be modified to allow the engine to go above 1400 rpm in park or neutral. The ECM isn’t seeing input from the trans is my assumption, so it thinks you are in park or neutral. Change that table and you should be fine. As far as the second ECM, you must not have performed the SKiM disable correctly. If it runs then dies, SKIM is probably still active.
