Hi I´m doing a swap using a Hemi from crysler 300 -2006 into a Dode coronet -68.
I have followed the instrucktions from diyhemi. I borrowed a ECM from a Ram -2005 that my friend is using in his swap, The engine starts and runs fine in Idle. but when I press the accelerator pedal I dont get any responce on the electronic throttle... why?? I can see small movments on the throttle in Idle.
If I connect my original ecm (that is loocked with skim key) I can read both sensors in the accelerator pedal using Hptuners. I do not have any fault codes at all in any of the ecm.
It is like the ecm can read the gaspedal but dont send the information to the electronic throttle...
I been checking the whiring many times but can it bee something I forgott??
Any ideas??
Kind regards
Jimmy
Hey Jimmy.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.
I removed the plug at the pedal DIY wired in and rewired my old plug.
Removed the #W21 wire from the 12volt at the key switch.
Ran a wire direct from the battery to a rocker switch at the dash then connected to #W21
I used the rocker switch because of a constant battery drain with out it.
Throttle works!
Thanks again Jimmy
Danny
I'll get my wire hooked direct to the battery and try it, thanks.
Thanks so much
Do you know what number was on that wire?
Danny
Typically 2 reasons for this... 1. Your pedal is wired incorrectly. Chrysler changed the pin outs on the pedals a few times. If you have different connector styles on the pedals, you need to swap your pins around 2. You didn’t do a startup calibration of the throttle. When you plug it all in, turn the key on and off , listen for the throttle body to cycle and repeat this about 4 times
