I have been working on this project for a while now and am finally ready to address the elephant in the room, how to pare down a factory harness from the 2010 Challenger R/T that gave up it's drivetrain and dashboard, along with other pieces, to update this old Mopar into driver quality restomod. The plan is to locate the battery in the trunk, along with the fuse box, and also relocate the relay box normally found under the hood in the Challenger. The ECM will be located inside the car, on the center of the firewall. I am looking for advice on what I can remove from the harness and how to go about having the computer reprogrammed for what I don't want. Some of the items that will not be used from the donor car include: *Air Bags. *ABS components, wheel sensors, etc. *Factory HVAC, using a Vintage air set up instead. *Power windows and mirrors. Any guidance from those who have gone this route would be appreciated. The splicing and relocation of the components doesn't worry me as much as the removing of wiring that will be a problem if closed loop sensing is required to get the car to start, run and not set off dashboard lights all the time. Thanks in advance.
