Hello I have been coaming the internet for information on engine change for my 2005 Dodge Magnum RT 5.7ltr. I have acquired an 2013 Chrysler 300C 6.4ltr dropout (engine, harness, pcm, intake w/throttlebody). To cut the cost I want to tackle the wiring changes myself. I live in CA so complete functionality of all systems is required to be BAR legal (ie check engine light, OBD2, 2013 6.4 300C OEM tune. emissions and evap system}. I was advised to use 09-10 5.7 qtr PCM and 06-08 car engine harness 09-10 crank/cam sensors, 60-2 reluctor wheel and the in car NAG1 for now. But would like to swap in 8HP70 and was told I would need PCS module and 2015 Challenger shifter. Will this work as need it to, for legal swap.
OR
Change the reluctor wheel to 32 tooth from 6.1 Hemi, lockout the cam phaser, 06-08 CAM/Crankshaft sensor, car 05 harness, Not sure about PCM 5.7/6.1 06-08? Most importantly tuning. I have black keys that have open/lock/panic buttons mechanism built into the keys. Basically making the 6.4 as mechanically close to the 5.7 except no egr on 6.4 and larger displacement. What do you all think?
